The catalytic converters came to us empty. The car from the USA so it was probably damaged, and often gets exhaust as a result of which the ceramic, which is located inside the catalytic converter housing, breaks and over time such a damaged cartridge is spat out by the exhaust. Due to the sporty nature of the car, the customer opted for 200 cpsi capacity sport cartridges. 

Unusual in the Polish reality, the customer decided to regenerate catalytic converters before the sale. It is known, paying half a banana for a car, a person would like to use it relatively trouble-free and enjoy, it is already safe to say  from a kind of investment. Unfortunately, one often encounters dishonest sellers who do just the opposite - they cut catalytic converters out of cars and sell them.  .

Auto with a mileage of 265 thousand km. Catalytic converter cartridges whole but already over-fired. Absolutely not a symptom of engine malfunction, normal wear and tear. What else if they were melted or clogged, which is what some customers are counting on, suggesting that now on new inserts there will be a difference in power. And they are right, while melting or clogging of the cartridges does not take on its own and is caused by faulty combustion of the mixture or oil getting into the...

The good old V8. You can see from the design of the manifolds and catalytic converters that the engine is powerful, and it was necessary to design slender backward rushing pipes to fit into the engine compartment, but also, to ensure proper catalytic converter efficiency, the catalytic converters had to be placed right behind the manifolds. Sometimes it's hard to reconcile one with the other, did Audi succeed? Both yes and no ...  .

And it was so nice, American ... ;-)  They drive such in the States Policemen, 305 horses, there is something to chase, although even faster is the 3.5 ecoboost 365 horses. Cool or not it also breaks down and sometimes something needs to be fixed. One of the catalytic converters needs to be replaced. It's a V6 so there are two but one of them was mechanically damaged and at the same time there was a bug for too little catalytic converter efficiency.

6 year old car with defective catalytic converter? Impossible, probably the probe is failing.... We will change the probe and it will be git. Probe replaced and still the same thing. I often encounter such a situation, I warn against hasty replacement of probes, supposedly the easiest, fastest, maybe it will work. Unfortunately, in most cases probes are replaced unnecessarily. Then the catalytic converter goes to me for replacement of the cartridge.

We received a catalytic converter for reconditioning from an Alfa Romeo Gulietta 1.75 TBI 235 km. This is another one of those rare ones with a metal cartridge. As you can see in photo #4, the cartridge was quite loose, not sticking to the housing at all and moving back and forth freely. Less work for us because the metal insert is not so easy to get rid of ;-). We received for regeneration of catalytic converters from 2003 Audi A6 quattro v6 3.0 220 km. The car was originally equipped with 4 catalytic converters with the Euro 4 emission standard. Of the first near-catalytic converters, only one was whole and the other showed signs of wear, was cracked and over-fired.

We received catalysts for Subaru from 2021 for regeneration. The accident car and the ceramic insert cracked from the stresses of the impact. No damage was visible on the exhaust, and yet it got into the catalyst and, as it turned out later, the gpf filter too.

Another cool classic with a faulty catalytic converter has come to us. Five-cylinder inline with 170 km of power. Originally installed was a metal cartridge which rarely happens. Despite the fact that metal cartridges are more resistant than ceramic ones, better withstand gas and any mechanical damage, over time the metal cartridge also needs to be replaced due to the natural wear of the elements responsible for catalyzing the exhaust. .

This is an excellent example of how cars are now manufactured ... It is becoming increasingly common that cars several years old with mileage of less than 100,000 km. already require replacement or regeneration of the catalytic converter. This was also the case here. The patient was a 2018 Opel Insignia with a mileage of about 80 thousand kilometers. The customer did not believe how it is possible for a catalytic converter to wear out in a car that is several years old. Considering the...

The catalytic converter came to us in deplorable condition. The car was imported damaged, the engine went into reverse crushing the catalytic converter against the bulkhead wall. A new, original catalytic converter cost about 17 thousand pln. .
