CATALYTIC CONVERTER REGENERATION OPEL ASTRA K 1.6 200KM 2018 without GPF
Catalytic converter regeneration in the Opel Astra K 1.6 200 hp consists of welding a new metal insert into the original catalytic converter housing. This solution is considerably cheaper than replacing it with a new catalytic converter, while at the same time effectively restoring full efficiency to the exhaust system.
Technical data of the RFC insert used:
- Dimensions: 125 mm diameter / 100 mm length
- Exhaust emission standard: EURO 6
- Cartridge flow rate: 600 cpsi

Why opt for catalytic converter regeneration?
The universal catalytic converter insert used is optimally matched to the specific characteristics of the Opel Astra K in terms of size and capacity. It meets the EURO 6 emission standards, which is extremely important for the ecology and admissibility of the vehicle. Regeneration using a metal insert ensures a long service life and high efficiency.
Benefits of catalytic converter regeneration:
- Saving money compared to buying a new catalytic converter
- Restoration of the full efficiency of the exhaust system
- Fulfils EURO 6 emission standards
- Optimum flow rate of 600 cpsi

How does the regeneration process work?
- We regenerate the catalytic converter within one day. The finished catalytic converter is sent back to you, ready for installation. To streamline the process, remember to fill in the form available at

Don't forget to remove the cause of the faster wear on the cartridge. If wear has occurred faster than standard, possible causes are:
- Oil or fuel entering the exhaust system.
- LPG system: If you have an LPG system installed and it is not well adjusted, this can lead to faster cartridge wear. Original ceramic cartridges are particularly sensitive to higher gas combustion temperatures.
