CATALYST REGENERATION AUDI A6 3.0 2003 year
We received for regeneration of catalytic converters from 2003 Audi A6 quattro v6 3.0 220 km. The car was originally equipped with 4 catalytic converters with the Euro 4 emission standard. Of the first near-collectors, only one was whole and the other bore signs of wear, was cracked and over-fired. The rear positioned catalytic converters also bore signs of wear. In addition, there was a catalytic converter efficiency error, it's hard for it not to light up since one catalytic converter was missing and it was the main one between the probes responsible for the error. As standard, we replace with metal cartridges from the Polish manufacturer AWG Polonez, and as always, we try to use the largest possible cartridge for the best possible efficiency. In this case, it was not easy, after cutting was left a piece of the funnel, which had to be milled to leave a smooth wall ( photo 6 ). Rear catalytic converters, due to their irregular shape and the difficulty of selecting the inserts, were replaced with ready-made catalytic converters with housing. For financial reasons, the customer decided to install catalytic converters with Euro 2 emission standards with a capacity of 200 cpsi, or sport. The whole thing was tig welded as usual. After installation, the customer let me know that he is mega satisfied, everything plays and trumpets and the car pushes off better and even sounds mildly more racy.
We are happy to have brought another car back to life giving satisfaction and fun to the owner. In the age of turbocharging such copies are becoming fewer and fewer so you need to take care of what's left because these are the last real cars ....
