CATALYTIC CONVERTER REGENERATION FERRARI F355 (1999) - PERFECTION IN THE DETAILS OF ITALIAN MOTORING
During an inspection of the exhaust system, we identified that the original ceramic catalytic converter insert had come loose inside the housing. This phenomenon, although rare at such low mileage, could be the result of vibration, improper installation or natural wear of the material over time. The symptom was a characteristic "rattle" heard especially at low RPM.
The solution? Professional catalytic converter remanufacturing by welding in a new metal RFC cartridge, which has much higher durability, temperature resistance and a sound more in line with the character of Ferrari's sporty V8.
Why remanufacture rather than replace with a new catalytic converter?
A new original catalytic converter for a Ferrari F355 is an expense running into the tens of thousands of zlotys, and the availability of original parts for 1990s models is increasingly limited. Reconditioning a catalytic converter is not just about saving money - it's also a chance to use modern material technologies that improve performance and durability, while maintaining the original appearance of the exhaust system.
The RFC (Racing Flow Catalysts) cartridge provides:
- better exhaust flow - 400 cpsi,
- constant temperature resistance of 950 °C / temporary temperature resistance of 1100 °C
- compatibility with EURO 4 emission standards
- perfect match to the sport character of the car.
The process of regeneration step by step:
- Disassembly of the catalytic converter - taking full care not to damage the casing.
- Condition assessment - confirming that the casing is reusable.
- Removal of the old ceramic cartridge - in this case loose and worn out.
- Welding in a new metal RFC insert - a precise fit and solid seating.
An Italian icon deserves perfection
After the completed regeneration, the Ferrari F355 regained not only the ideal engine culture, but also the original sound - clean, aggressive, without unnecessary resonances. Ferrari catalytic converter regeneration performed in a professional manner is a guarantee of longevity and trouble-free operation - even in collector cars.
Ferrari F355 catalytic converter regeneration is an investment in the future of the car
If you are the owner of a classic Ferrari, Maserati, Lamborghini or Alfa Romeo and have noticed disturbing sounds from the exhaust system - don't wait for the problem to get worse. Catalytic converter regeneration is an effective, safe and economical method of restoring the car to full performance without interfering with its original character.
Feel free to contact us - we specialize in the regeneration of catalytic converters of premium and sports cars, with full respect for their unique value and heritage.
