The 2021 Audi RS6 Avant C8 is the perfect combination of a luxury station wagon and a performance machine. The 4.0 V8 biturbo engine with 600 horsepower is a source of incredible excitement, but also a big challenge for the exhaust system. The high temperature of the exhaust gases and the pressure in the system mean that over time the catalytic converters can wear out, causing a drop in performance or even engine failures.

As part of our service, we regenerated the catalytic converters in the RS6 C8, using 600 and 400 cpsi metal cartridges - a solution that combines durability with full compatibility with the engine controller.

Why 600 and 400 cpsi metal cartridges?

• We used 600 cpsi (cells per square inch) in the front catalytic converters - this is a density close to the factory, which guarantees effective exhaust cleaning and compliance with emission standards.
• We used 400 cpsi in the downstream system (GPF) - this slightly lower density increases gas flow, improving engine responsiveness and slightly freeing up the sound of the V8.

This arrangement allows full compatibility with the vehicle's electronics - no need for emulators, catalytic converter removal (downpipe) or ECU software modifications.

No bugs, no combining ;)

Our solution does not require any additional modifications - no need to change ECU software, use emulators or combine with sensors. Thanks to the appropriate selection of cartridges (600 + 400 CPSI), there are no engine errors (check engine), and the vehicle retains full functionality - also.

No compromise: no engine errors, full legality

One of the biggest advantages of the solution used is the guarantee of no engine errors (check engine). Thanks to the proper selection of the CPSI, the sensors before and after the catalytic converter work in the factory range, and the controller does not detect any irregularities. This means:

• No need to “cheat” the probes.
• No risk of failing a technical inspection.
• Compliance with emission standards (if the other components of the system are operational).

Does remanufacturing affect performance?

In the case of the RS6, remanufacturing with metal inserts not only restores the performance of the exhaust system, but can gently improve exhaust flow, especially in the upper rpm range. The difference is not big, but noticeable - the car revs more readily, and the response to the gas becomes a little more spontaneous. At the same time, everything is done without loss of comfort and without drastic changes in sound - the RS6 still retains its elegant but aggressive tone.
