The returned unit must be complete, original, marked with the OE number, and free from mechanical damage or signs of tampering. Catalytic converter regeneration includes replacement of the old worn catalytic converter cartridge with a new metal cartridge, returning the system to full efficiency and meeting emission standards.

In remanufactured catalytic converters for Audi 4.0 TFSI engines (e.g. S6, S7, S8, RS6, RS7), we install new metal cartridges with a capacity of 400 cpsi (cells per square inch) as standard. Originally, these vehicles are equipped with 900 cpsi cartridges.

RFC cartridges with a throughput of 400 cpsi have better exhaust gas flow and lower resistance, which in some cases can positively affect vehicle performance. However, it should be remembered that the effectiveness of the catalytic converter depends largely on the overall technical condition of the vehicle - in particular, the injection system, ignition system and engine.

Note: The installation of a catalytic converter with 400 cpsi cartridges may not be sufficient in vehicles with a faulty engine or power system. This can lead to improper operation of the catalytic converter and failure to meet emission standards.
